If you are the citizen of Mexico and aged between 18 and 35; if you intend to follow a Bachelor or Master’s programme in the Netherlands; if you have been admitted by a Dutch university, or is currently undergoing the admission procedure, then you may be eligible for an Orange Tulip Scholarship.
Please check the general application requirements of the Orange Tulip Scholarship application to see if you are qualified for application and check specific requirements of each scholarship sponsor to see if you can apply.

Please check the list of participating institutions and companies to see whether your institution and/or programme is included in the Orange Tulip Scholarship offer.
If my university and/or programme is not listed, can I still apply for the Orange Tulip Scholarship?
Unfortunately the Orange Tulip Scholarship only applies to the programmes mentioned on this webpage. You may qualify for a particular company scholarship if this scholarship covers the study field of your interest. Otherwise you cannot apply for the Orange Tulip Scholarship.
What is the application deadline of the Orange Tulip Scholarship for the academic year 2012 – 2013?
The general application deadline for the Orange Tulip Scholarship is April 1st 2012. For some scholarships, the deadline may be earlier.
Please note that admission deadlines at Dutch higher education institutions may be earlier as well.
Do I need to send hard copy of all required documents to Nuffic Neso Mexico?
No this is not necessary. Please scan all documents and send them as PDF to Nuffic Neso Mexico.
Read carefully the application checklist to see which documents you need to supply for the Orange Tulip Scholarship application.
Please note that you will have to apply for programme admission at the higher education institution yourself. The institutions usually do require hard copies of all documentation.
Can I start the application for the Orange Tulip Scholarship, although I have not been admitted by the Dutch higher education institution yet?
Yes, you can start the application now. But please remember that it is necessary to submit your admission letter before the application deadline (April 1st). You are supposed to include a scanned copy in PDF format of your original admission letter to Nuffic Neso Mexico.
I have received the conditional admission letter from a Dutch higher education institution. Can I apply for the Orange Tulip Scholarship with this letter?
Yes, if the programme for which you received the conditional admission letter is part of the Orange Tulip Scholarship programme, you are qualified to apply scholarship. Please send your conditional admission letter to Nuffic Neso Mexico.
Am I still qualified to apply for the Orange Tulip Scholarship if I have already been awarded other scholarships (offered by a Dutch higher education institution, Dutch government, Mexican government and/or other organization)?
Yes, it is possible to combine the Orange Tulip Scholarship with other scholarships or credits. For example, you may accept one Orange Tulip Scholarship from a university and another Orange Tulip Scholarship from a company. However, it is not possible to receive two scholarships from the same sponsor or receive a second scholarship if you have already been awarded a full scholarship (either from the Orange Tulip Scholarship programme or another scholarship programme).
It is also possible to combine the Orange Tulip Scholarship with other financing possibilities, such as CONACyT, FIDERH or FUNED.
Is the diploma compulsory for the Orange Tulip Scholarship application? If I am still studying the final year of my high school / bachelor’s degree, can I still apply for the Orange Tulip Scholarship?
- If you have graduated, you must submit the diploma/degree.
- If you are still studying, you will have to submit a certified copy of the statement of enrolment and the transcript of all completed subjects. You are supposed to submit the degree/diploma once he/she graduates from the college.
- If the diploma is still in process, please include a letter from your educational institution mentioning that you have successfully completed your studies and that the diploma is in process.
Do the diploma/degree, enrolment statement and transcript need to be notarized?
The Dutch higher education institution requires copies with the official stamp and signature to verify that it is a true copy of the original document. This official stamp and signature may be from a notary, school/university or local authority. More information about legalizing your documents can be found in the "preparing your stay" section.
Nuffic Neso Mexico only needs to receive scanned copies (with the official stamps) for your Orange Tulip Scholarship application.
I took the IELTS/TOEFL iBT test, but have not received the score sheet. Can I apply for the Orange Tulip Scholarship now and submit the score sheet later?
Applicants have to submit their English language score sheet when they apply for the Orange Tulip Scholarship before the deadline (1st April). Therefore Nuffic Neso Mexico suggests applicants to start the application after they have received the IELTS or TOEFL iBT score sheet.
