09 Aug 2011
Nuffic Neso Mexico conducted a research to learn about the potential of the market for Bachelor degree programmes in Mexico.
The objective of this research is to find out if there is indeed a niche market and, if this is the case, how this target group can be reached. The findings in this report apply to both Bachelor’s degrees taught at Dutch Research Universities and at Dutch Universities of Applied Science (UAS) . The main questions that this research will answer are:
- Is there a market potential (where and in which fields) comprised of Mexican upper secondary students capable to participate in student mobility to Bachelor’s degree programmes at Dutch HEIs?
- What are the main factors that influence the motivation of upper secondary students to study abroad?
- What efforts can be made to actively target upper secondary students?
The report discusses the current situation in Mexican upper secondary education, the capability of the Mexican upper secondary students based on enrolment per region, per field of study and by English proficiency, the motivations of Mexican upper secondary students to go abroad and the possibilities for information distribution.
