Study in Holland Tour through Mexico a success

31 Mar 2009

From September until November, Nuffic Neso Mexico organized a ‘Study in Holland tour’ through Mexico.

With its Study in Holland van, Nuffic Neso visited some of the biggest cities in Mexico in order to promote studying in Holland among Mexican students outside the federal district. The new Study in Holland logo and pay-off ‘Study in Holland, open to international minds’ played a prominent role in the tour.

Presentations

Neso visited the cities of Guadalajara, Monterrey, León/Guanajuato and Mérida, where the Nuffic Neso staff gave presentations in city-centre locations and at the main universities. During the presentations, the new 2009-2010 Study in Holland materials were handed out.

Also featured was a Study in Holland contest, giving participants the chance to win a trip for two to Holland.

International offices

The Study in Holland tour was also a good opportunity for Nuffic Neso to meet with the directors of international offices at major universities, where they discussed possibilities for cooperation with the Netherlands and learned about the latest developments relating to the universities, their study programmes, current research and international academic relations policy.

The tour was a success for Nuffic Neso, with over 250 students attending the presentations. The Nuffic Neso Mexico website visits also saw an increase in the cities visited during the tour.

The initiative furthermore provided a perfect opportunity for renewing and establishing new contacts within Mexico’s leading universities and for finding out about the latest developments in their international academic relations policies.
