Mexicans that have studied at Dutch higher education institutions can now keep in touch with other alumni, Dutch companies in Mexico and Dutch higher education institutions via a single website: www.hanmexico.org.
Alumni website
The official launch of the website took place in Mexico City on Friday 24 September. The new site allows alumni and future alumni to create profiles that include all relevant information about themselves, their studies in the Netherlands and their current jobs and interests.
The website also includes features such as a blog, a forum and photo galleries. Companies can post vacancies on the website and job-seekers (recently graduated alumni) can post their details. The site will grow in the future through the active participation of alumni.
Alumni officer
The HANM website also features a list of links to the alumni associations of individual Dutch higher education institutions. Cooperation between these associations and the HANM will allow the Mexican association to grow rapidly. Starting next year, Nuffic Neso will employ a new full-time alumni officer, who will be in charge of communications between the alumni, the companies and the higher education institutions.
Besides the new website, the Holland Alumni Network Mexico and Nuffic Neso Mexico are also present on the Mexico’s most popular social networking site: Facebook.
