New director for Nuffic Neso Mexico

31 Jul 2009

Dear reader,

JannekeMy name is Janneke de Geus. On 1 July 2009 I started working as the new director of Nuffic Neso Mexico.

From 1993 till 1998 I studied Romance Languages and Cultures at Groningen University. As part of the study programme I spent 4 months in Mexico and worked as a trainee at the ECLAC / United Nations and studied at the CIESAS (Centro de Investigación y Estudios Superiores en Antropología Social).

In 1999 I started working at the Netherlands Embassy in Mexico City. While at the embassy I was in charge of organising Dutch cultural events in Mexico, including all press-related matters and publicity. I also worked for several years as the fellowships officer for Mexico and Belize.

As the director of Nuffic Neso in Mexico, I will continue promoting Dutch education in Mexico. I am looking forward to working with you over the next few years and I hope that together we will contribute to the promotion of Dutch higher education and institutional cooperation with Mexico.

The doors of the Nuffic Neso office in Mexico will always be open and for me it will be an honour to receive you.
