Pre-departuremeeting for Mexican students
Jun 24, 2011Each year Nuffic Neso Mexico prepares Mexican students that have been accepted in Dutch higher education institutions for their upcoming stay in the Netherlands.

The predeparturemeeting is an informal event that will help Mexican students with their integration upon arrival in the Netherlands. It will give information to the students about several aspects of daily life and student life, such as:
- What is the luggage they can take to the Netherlands;
- How to use the public transport;
- What to do in case of illness;
- What immigration procedures do they need to follow upon arrival;
- What can they expect from classes in Dutch institutions; and
- How to overcome homesickness.
Furthermore it is a great opportunity for Mexican students to meet each other before their stay in the Netherlands, therefore creating a Mexican student community in the Netherlands.
Invitation
Nuffic Neso Mexico invites all Mexican students that will study an exchange programme, a bachelor's degree, a master's degree, a PhD or an internship in the Netherlands in the academic year 2011-2012 to attend the pre-departuremeeting. There will be two meetings:
- 14 July 2011: Mexico City
- 20 July 2011: Monterrey
Attending the meetings is free, it is only necessary to confirm attendance through the online registration form on the Nuffic Neso website.
Furthermore Nuffic Neso would like to invite all Dutch higher education institutions to forward the invitation to the Mexican students that have been accepted in one of their study programmes.
