Specific requests from Mexican higher education institutions

Nuffic, the Netherlands organization for international cooperation in higher education invites all the Dutch Higher education institutions to participate in the call for proposals based on specific requests from Mexican higher education institutes.
Foundation Nuffic hereby, publicly announces a call for proposals for the realization of joint projects between Dutch higher education institutions and Mexican higher education institutions (HEI).
During the visits from Nuffic to higher education institutions in Mexico, some HEI´s mentioned specific fields of interest to start collaboration with Holland. All visited HEI´s are highly recognized public and private institutions.
Objective
The cooperation between Mexican and Dutch HEI´s previsions exchange within the higher education sector in specific fields and levels.
Cooperation principles
The call for proposals, the applications and the pre-selection of the projects on the Dutch side is organized and done by Nuffic.
The cooperation between Dutch and Mexican HEI´s is based upon equality and reciprocity. The financing of the projects and the sending of students, researchers or professors, is also linked to this principal.
1. General conditions
1.1 All Dutch higher education institutions can send in proposals for projects, considering that they have signed the Code of Conduct.
1.2 The Dutch higher education institution should send the proposal to Nuffic. Nuffic will forward the proposals to the Mexican HEI´s Further contact about the cooperation will be between the Dutch and Mexican institutions with involvement of Nuffic where needed.

1.4 The proposal may include and foresee the sending and receiving of students, research, work missions or other forms of personnel exchange. It also may include a joint or double degree.
2. Selection Process
2.1 The selection of the proposals consists of 3 phases, which are: verification of document consistency by Nuffic, contact of Nuffic with the Mexican higher education institution and selection of the proposals by the Mexican HEI.
3. Finances
3.1 The financing of the projects on the Dutch side will be the responsibility of the participating Dutch higher education institution.
3.2 The Dutch partner in the project should take in account, following the general condition of equality and reciprocity, that the Dutch side of the project should foster the cooperation in equal terms of financing or in means of equal value out of own funds or through scholarships cq external financial structures.
3.3 The concession of scholarships to Mexican students is subjected to prior acceptance of the student.
4. Application
4.1 The application for Dutch institutions is based upon an open call for proposals for cooperation with the mentioned Mexican higher education institutions in the mentioned fields of interest.
4.2 Nuffic as facilitator will analyze the financial feasibility of the project proposal in combination with the demands for compatibility with the Mexican partner.
